The Pedro's Chain Checker Plus II gives a workshop two chain-wear indications, 0.5% and 0.75%, using three contact points to account for roller play when measuring chain elongation. Correct placement matters to the reading, and replacement thresholds follow the chain manufacturer's guidance.
Chain-hook and slotted-chainring-nut functions give the same tool further uses during servicing. Pedro's current compatibility chart includes the listed 13-speed and Flattop types; compatibility is tied to those named applications rather than a universal claim for every chain.
