The Pedro's Chain Pig II is a serviceable standalone cleaner for a workshop wash routine or home maintenance. Its derailleur hook supports alignment around the chain, while internal brushes carry cleaning fluid onto it and a sponge removes excess as the chain exits.
The marked fill line takes approximately 30ml of suitable degreaser, with cleaning followed by rinsing, drying and chain lubrication. Hands-free operation depends on the drivetrain setup: weak derailleur springs can need hand support, and a bike without a derailleur requires the hook to be removed and the cleaner held. Degreaser is separate, and replacement internals provide a service route for the cleaner itself.
Supported alignment during cleaning
On a suitable derailleur drivetrain, the hook supports the cleaner in line with the lower chain run. Weak springs and derailleur-free setups require hand support.
Internals that can be serviced
The body opens for rinsing after use, and replacement brush and sponge internals allow worn cleaning parts to be renewed.
