The Trickstuff Maxima combines high braking leverage with precise control for steep, demanding descents. Its progressive lever mechanism increases leverage as the lever moves through the stroke, giving a controlled initial response followed by stronger braking deeper into the pull. A 9mm pump piston works with four 16/17mm caliper pistons to produce that braking force.
A firm, controlled response
The CNC-machined 7075 aluminium caliper and steel yoke bolts resist flex under pressure, helping the rider feel when the pads meet the rotor. The bearing-supported lever and low-friction pump piston support small, controlled inputs. Hollow stainless steel caliper pistons reduce contact with the pads, helping limit the heat conducted towards the brake fluid.
Choose the hose for the installation
Goodridge versions use a stiff steel-braided hose, with swivel fittings specific to that assembly. The Kevlar version offers a slimmer route through narrow frame passages. Choose the hose construction for the bike, then select the colour and lever arrangement required.
